The scout HQ from the church

The Scout Hall is set in the picturesque village of Speen in the heart of the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and with a network of footpaths in all directions is an ideal site for D of E expedition training as well as for patrol camps and other activities, camps and sleepovers.

The building is located to the south of the village opposite the Church.

The building consists of a hall 23ft x 37ft (7m x 11.3m) with a ceiling clearance of between 10ft and almost 13ft (4m). It has a sprung wooden floor with heating provided by ceiling and wall mounted electric heating.

Tables, chairs as well as wooden benches are available.

There are unisex toilets as well as a shower cubicle.

The kitchen is equipped with a four ring oven, fridge, microwave oven, toaster and kettles, there is a serving hatch into the main hall.

There is a separate room which can be made available to users of the building and is suitable for use as a quiet meeting room or as separate sleeping accommodation for leaders.

Outside the hall is a flat area suitable for camping along with about 1.2 acres of private woodland. Open fires are allowed in the designated campfire pit.
